Harry Styles robbed in London - 2nd March 2020

Superstar Harry Styles from One Direction was robbed at knifepoint on Valentine’s Day. The crime reportedly happened after a night out with friends.

The 26 year old was mugged while he was out in Hampstead, North London. He was approached by a man carrying a knife, who threatened the singer and demanded cash. Styles remained calm and survived the attack. He reacted wisely and gave the thief his money.

Styles didn’t want the incident to affect him and attended the 40th annual Brit Awards a few days later. He brought his bodyguard to the event, who he shares with Mick Jagger, for extra protection.

Before the ceremony, the Metropolitan Police (the ‘Met’) issued a statement about the robbery. It said that the crime in Hampstead involved a knife and had been reported on 15th February. Investigations are ongoing as no arrests have been made.

Last Wednesday, Styles spoke about the situation for the first time on US morning show ‘Today’, when he insisted he was ‘OK’, but said it had ‘shaken’ him.

This is not the first time Styles has had such an experience. He was stalked last year by homeless man Pablo Tarazaga-Orero. He waited for the star outside his home for months. Now Tarazaga-Orero has been convicted and is banned from going within 250 metres of Mr Styles.
